Sandy is a long way past approaching 40….. as well as winning a number of fiddle competitions, he has played with a (lot) of different band lineups including a stint leading cult ceilidh band
THE BOURACH BROTHERS. In the latter part of the 20th century he sometimes played with hipsters THE ELEPHANT'S LUG BAND . More recently he has taken up the fiddle chair in Aberdeen experimentalists PottedHeid.. where he adopts the persona "Fish Feathers MacTeeth".After forty-two years he became a chart-topping superstar with the
indigenous brothers....these ambient blip and glitch purveyors. The chart in question being the UK minimal on-line chart....you don't have to shift many units to top that one....!A blues unit also gigs from time to time, the latest electrified country blues version of that flag of musical convenience
The Bourach Brothers ......this features our man as a blues harp player and singer as does a rather more raunchy and electric line-up...The Juke Joint Rollers…not to mention Fish Feathers MacTeeth solo siteThe singularly attractive photograph at the top of this page was taken by ace photographer
Elaine Andrews. it's certainly better than the picture of him playing the melodeon with no clothes on which was circulating on the 'net at one time..More pictures of Sandy and his mates by clicking
